HAYES, Clayton Charles

Clayton Hayes, beloved husband of Patricia Hayes (nee Jones) of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the age of 86 years.
After marrying Pat in 1957 they moved from Calgary to Edmonton where he worked for Western GMC. In 1975 Clayton started Hayes Pontiac Buick GMC in Brooks, Alberta then sold it in 1979. In 1983 Clayton was elected and served one term as Mayor of the Town of Brooks. He was very proud of his four kids, and his grandchildren. He was a loving husband of almost sixty-five years, a caring father and grandfather. He was a wonderful friend to many and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Besides his loving wife Pat, Clayton is survived by his two sons, Randy and his wife Dianna of Brooks, AB and Richard of Calgary, AB; daughter Jodi Montgomery and her husband Neil of Calgary, AB; three grandchildren, Zoe Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, and Robbie Montgomery; step-granddaughter, Jodi Sadlier and her husband Jeremy; two step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt Sadlier and Cooper Sadlier; brother Ron Hayes and his wife Lois of San Jose, California.
Clayton was predeceased by his son Robert Hayes; three sisters, Eileen Tiessen, Phyllis Klassen, and Lois Keenan; and parents Charles and Mabel Hayes.
