GUYOT – Rick Guyot, beloved husband of Carla Guyot of Brooks, passed away suddenly in Brooks on June 28th, 2003 at the age of 37 years. Born in Winnipeg on September 30th, 1965 Rick resided in numerous places before coming to Brooks where he finished his education. Rick and Carla Fleming were married on August 1st, 1987 in Brooks. Rick was a very hard worker and a dedicated employee. He began his career as an apprentice with Bouchard Electric in 1988. As the company grew and evolved into Syntech Enerflex, Rick did as well. His most recent position was Regional Manager of Southern Alberta. Rick was open to new ideas and experiences and was always challenging himself both in his work and in his personal life. He enjoyed the game of hockey, camping with his family, wine making, computers and golfing. He was actively involved in his children’s minor sports, both on the bench and off. Rick accomplished many things in his life but his most valued accomplishments were his marriage to Carla and his children Lindsay and Theron. He was predeceased by his father Roger, grandparents, Uncle Claude, Aunt Marie and his special Uncle Jim. Rick is also survived by his mom Marjorie Guyot of Winnipeg, 3 brothers Mark from Winnipeg, Lionel and his daughter Brittney from Brandon and Raymond from Winnipeg; special Aunt Ghislaine MacBride and Nick from Kelowna, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 3rd, from Brooks United Church. Rev. George Edmonds officiating.
