GALBRAITH, Marilynn Gail passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017 at the age of 92 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Don, in 1999. Marilynn was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and raised in Saskatoon. As a young woman she moved with her parents to Edmonton where she met Don at the end of the war. She followed her parents to Vancouver where she worked for the Bank of Montreal and carried on a long distance relationship with Don for several years while he was getting his business established in Brooks. They were finally able to get married in 1949 and Marilynn moved to Brooks. Through the next decades the couple worked together in their various business ventures in Brooks, Gleichen and Calgary and raised their family. They returned to Brooks in 1971 and spent many happy years enjoying their friends, RVing and wintering in Mesa, Arizona.
Marilynn is lovingly remembered by daughter Candi (Lance), son Dan (Cheryl), grandson Jason (Karen) and great-granddaughter Kate.
Marilynn’s family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of Sunrise Gardens who provided such exceptional and compassionate care over the past six years. You are our angels! We would especially like to thank Dr. Thomson for the dedication, care and concern she showed Mom over many years.
