Otto Folkerts of Brooks passed away at Brooks Health Centre on May 17, 2022 at the age of 86. Otto was born on April 15, 1936 at Breukelen, He immigrated to Canada with his parents and nine brothers and sisters settling in Duchess, Alberta in 1948. In 1952 the family moved to Ranier,Alberta where they farmed for the next 55 years. Upon his retirement, Otto moved to Brooks spending the last two years of his life being very well looked after at Orchard Manor. He was predeceased by five brothers; Auke, Joe, John, Klaas and Jelle and two sisters Winnie and Agnes. Otto is survived by one brother Fred and two sisters Kay and Helen as well as numerous other family members. Funeral services were held at 1pm on May 24 at Brooks Christian Reformed Church with graveside services at Brooks Cemetery.
