Dyck – It is with great sadness that the family of Peter A. Dyck announces his passing at the Brooks Health Centre on April 24, 2025, at the age of 98 years. Peter was born on November 10, 1926 in Lyubimovka, Russia. Peter and his sister Elviera grew up during the tumultuous times of the Stalin Regime. Peter met Tina in Germany, and they were married in 1947. From Germany they immigrated to Paraguay and then came to Canada in 1955. They settled in Coaldale, until moving to the farm near Rosemary, in 1962. In 1993, Peter and Tina retired to the village of Rosemary. Peter will be remembered by his loving family and friends. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Pete (Beth), Lori (Harold) and Erwin (Joanna); six grandchildren, Denise (Jason), Daryl (Heidi), Steve (Trudy), Byron, Murray (Courtney) and Pam (Kenny); 14 great grandchildren along with his special friend Marilyn and many extended families across Canada, Germany, Poland and Russia. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife Tina, infant son Ernst, granddaughter Mellisa, daughter-in-law Frieda, parents, Abram and Maria Dyck and sister Elviera. Celebration of Life was held at Rosemary Mennonite Church on Saturday May 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Interment at Rosemary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Newell Foodgrains Growing Project, Box 294, Rosemary, Alberta T0J 2W0.
