She grew up in Rosemary where she attended school and made friends easily. Jeanie graduated from High School in 1988. She went on to attend Lethbridge Community College where she received her diploma in Child and Youth Care in 1990. She quickly decided that this was not the career for her. Jeanie devoted a lot of time to her cherished Yellow Labs, Jaxx and Rodie, who were nicknamed the “yellow boys”. Even when she no longer had her own dogs to care for, she dogsat as much as possible, keeping up to three dogs at a time. Children were very attracted to her and Jeanie’s nieces and nephews always looked forward to visiting with Jeanie, as she always had special and thoughtful treats for them. Jeanie and Arlen attended school together and dated briefly, but decided that they were not meant for each other. Later, they were proved wrong as they met at their 20th high school reunion and felt the spark revive. Jeanie was married to Arlen Dueck on March 12th, 2011 and enjoyed life in Chestermere, Alberta.
