Cyr – It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, Dustin Gary William Cyr, at the age of 34 years. Dustin was born in Brooks, Alberta on March 31st, 1988. He was an extremely kind and polite soul, who was always laughing, cracking jokes and making others laugh with his witty sense of humour. Dustin had a smile that would light up the room. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his most treasured person, his son Xaiden. Dustin also had a very special relationship with his Grandpa Gary, who taught him so many things in his life. Dustin leaves behind to mourn his memory, son Xaiden Cyr; parents, Tammy (Adam) Martin and Mark (Angie) Cyr; siblings, Shelby Avelar (David), Tyler Airth, Aaron Cyr and Seranda Cyr (Chad Hoare); grandparents, Gary and Julie Turnbull and Linda Fisher; nieces, Scarlet Avelar and Chanel Cyr; nephew, Hendrix Hoare along with many extended family members and friends. Funeral Services was held on Thursday, January 19th at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ken Klassen officiated. In memory of Dustin, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Brooks and District Health Foundation for Addictions and Mental Health, Bag 300, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B3.
