    COSFORD – Deborah Coleen Cosford
    1953-2023
    Deborah, a life-long Brooks resident passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 11th, 2023 in the Brooks Hospital’s Long Term Care Unit.
    Deb was predeceased by her father William Cosford, mother Alice Cosford nee “Miller” and her beloved brother Dr. William “Bill Cosford.
    Deb will be fondly missed by her former sister-in-law Carmen Gill and her nephew Cole Gill of Koocanusa-West, B.C. Deb will be very sadly missed but never forgotten by her Southampton, Ontario family. Cousin Jim Johnstone, his wife Kathy Johnstone and their five children Carolyn, James, Andrea, Christine and Michael.
    Deb’s family and the Johnstones spent many summers together on the shores of Lake Huron. These wonderful times together fostered a close connection which resulted in Deb always mailing birthday and Christmas cards to all the children.
    Deb also will be missed by her many Brooks friends, children she loved babysitting and former co-workers. It has been personally experienced by all that Deb Cosford had a kind, caring and loving heart.
    Deb enjoyed life through sharing a good joke, bowling, dinner for special holidays with friends, a trip to the casino, watching sports and being a Brooks Bandits fan.
    Deborah was interred on Friday, Sept. 15th at the Brooks Cemetery with several good friend in attendance.
    A special thanks to the nursing staff and Dr. Coetzee who all gave Deb excellent care throughout her time at the Brooks Health Centre. Finally, thank you Tait White, Jean Vaughn and Betty and Lloyd Remple for your years of kindness and attention to Deb’s needs.
