Martin (Marty) Ray Clint of Brooks, beloved husband of Grace Clint and father of Shawn and Sheldon, passed away in Brooks on Sunday, November 6th, 2022 at the age of 68 years.
Marty grew up in Brooks and spent most of his life in the Brooks area. His hobbies included fishing, working on cars and going for morning coffee with his friends.
Marty drove truck in the oilfield and loved his job. He worked numerous other jobs in his youth varying from concrete finishing to working for the Town of Brooks.
Marty had a gift for gab. He was funny, quick-witted and armed with a propensity for sarcasm that was rivalled only by his love of making people laugh. He also had a ‘Mancave’ that he constructed out of a makeshift shed that would make any man grin. It had more than the usual accoutrements of a beer fridge, flat screen tv and comfortable seating. It also contained stainless steel-plated walls, over-sized power generator, full WIFI networking and capped off with a Rat Fink neon wall clock. One did not merely enter the man-cave; you experienced it.
Of course, the best experience was Marty himself as anyone who knew him would tell you. He will be missed.
Marty is survived by his wife Grace; sons, Shawn and family and Sheldon and family; daughter Coralee and family; father Edward; brothers, Mark, Kendall, Brad and nieces and nephews.
Marty was predeceased by his mother, Jean Pratt; stepfather, Edwin Pratt, and stepmother Mary-Lou Clint.
No memorial services will be held as per Marty’s wishes
