Chapman – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Mary Chapman (born Green), who passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Evelyn was surrounded by her two daughters at the time of her death, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Evelyn was born on December 27, 1945, in Calgary, Alberta, to Mary Evelyn Brandon and Everet R. Green. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gary Wayne Chapman (Chappy). Together, they shared many years of love and companionship, before his passing. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Tammy (Derek) Hanson and Candace (Ben) Tateson, as well as her five grandchildren, Dakota, Ty, June, William, and Jack, who were the light of her life. Her grandchildren brought her endless joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A woman of simple pleasures, Evelyn loved playing cards, bingo, and enjoyed being out on the water, boating along with camping. She also enjoyed bird watching and found solace in feeding the birds peanuts in her backyard. Evelyn also found joy in spending time at her kitchen table with crossword puzzles and a dictionary always on hand. Her warm spirit, nurturing presence, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed. Evelyn’s love and kindness touched everyone she met, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A family service will be held. For all donations we would love for them to be donated directly to the Canadian Cancer Society 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2B7, as per what Evelyn would want.
