Bonora – Adoline (Addy) Bonora, beloved wife of Mario of Brooks, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the age of 89 years.  She was born in Medicine Hat to Bertha and Ewald Link on June 10, 1934.  Addy married her best friend, Mario in 1990 and she said she had her best life for the last 33 years.  Addy is survived by her loving husband Mario, her children Sandra Stolz (Malcom), Blair Stolz, Jim (Karen), Doris (Lorne), Ron (Pam) and Lisa Smith (Carl) and her grandchildren Ashley (Timm), Byron, Vanessa, Eric (Rachel), Carson (Aubrey), Rachelle (Evyn), John (Maria) and Mia (deceased).  Addy enjoyed having her family close by and the get-togethers that were held throughout the year.  She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren as they grew up with Nonno and Nana. She loved the winters that she and Mario spent in California.  She and Mario would often be heard making bets on who would have the best golf score.  The betting was never serious, as later that evening the two of them would have a waltz around the kitchen.  Spending time with Mario, watching the hummingbirds, doing the Christmas puzzle along with picking the lemons and grapefruits that grew on trees in their yard and many, many happy hours with great friends gave her such enjoyment. Addy was both a great listener and a great story teller and an amazing friend to everyone lucky enough to be in her circle.  Addy was gifted with a great talent for the arts.  She could sit down at a piano, play a song by ear and sing with her beautiful voice.  As she entered retirement, card making and pottery became her new passions.  She won several medals at the Alberta Senior Games for her creative pottery designs. Addy also knit over 500 unique teddy bears to donate to underprivileged children in Mexico.  The family would like to thank Dr. Elgersma and Dr. Visser of Brooks and Dr. Kryski of Calgary for the excellent care they provided to Addy throughout the years.  The family is forever grateful for the time and commitment that Lisa Smith provided to Addy as a chauffeur and third set of ears at doctors’ appointments and just being there for Addy and Mario through illnesses and surgeries but also so many fun times.  We know that Addy is in a better place, free from pain knowing someday that she will reunite with her little buddy, Mario, for another dance to their favorite song….’Saying Something Stupid Like I Love You’. Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooks, Alberta (811 Cassils Road W) on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm.  Rev.
