Beddows – Anna Honorata Beddows (Nee: Groele)

With much love and deep sorrow we mourn the passing of a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend. Anna Honorata Groele was born on February 4, 1947 to Elizabeth and Frank in their farmhouse near Outram, Saskatchewan. Following a lengthy battle with COPD, Anne passed away, peacefully, with Papa(Ric) by her side, in Bassano Hospital on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the age of 77 years. Mom will be lovingly missed by her husband of 54 years, Ric; children: Scott(Von), Ryan(Sandra) and Marnie; grandchildren: Jessie, Jace, Jayme(Andrew), Grace, Rachel and Olivia; great grandchildren: Emersyn and Austyn; sister: Stefania Wolfe; brothers-in-law: Charles Kuntz, John Hastings(Maggie); sisters-in-law: Sharon Laudel, Carol Gough(Paul); numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and children; as well as a great many close friends and other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents: Elizabeth and Frank Groele; infant sister: Katrina; sister: Mary Ann Kuntz; niece: Maureen Kuntz; brothers-in-law: Gerry Beddows and Cliff Wolfe and parents-in-law: Albert and Lou Beddows, Alice Poirier. Mom, a notable presence in the community, was particularly proud of her time as a clinical assistant in Dr. Lewke’s office in Calgary, her ventures with Dad in Mr. Pepper’s restaurant, the Empty Bottle and Bassano Building Centre and her involvement with Eastern Star. Mom devoted countless efforts to her family’s endeavours, her friends, her pets, her home and yard and anyone who required a helping hand. Mom … we are thankful for the wonderful things you have ingrained in us …. Your wit, Your humour, Your dedication, Your creativity, Your strength, Your compassion, Your generosity, Your stubbornness!, the list goes on. Most of all, we treasure your Love for us all ….
A Celebration in Mom’s honour will be held at a later date.

Count your garden by flowers, Never the leaves that fall
Count your days by golden hours, Don’t remember the clouds at all
Count your nights by stars, not shadows
Count your age by friends, not years
And, on this day, with Joy,
Count your life with smiles, not tears
