Anderson – Rhonda Lynn Anderson (Neely) of Brooks, was tragically killed in an auto accident on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, at the age of 53 years. Rhonda was born on August 14th, 1970, in Lethbridge, Alberta and she joined George and Gail Neely’s family on July 14th, 1972, and was raised on the family farm in the Imperial Colony. Always an adventurous youth, she took to farm life with a passion, participating in everything. Rhonda particularly enjoyed horseback-related work and raising all manners of orphaned creatures, a passion she maintained throughout her life, always having a house full of adopted pets. Rhonda moved to Brooks after she finished school, where she worked at various waitressing jobs until she married. She had two children, Cheyenne and Chase, who became the pride of her life. The family moved to numerous towns over the next few years following Rhonda’s husband from job to job, until divorced, at which point she moved back to Brooks permanently, where she raised her family, volunteered at Spec and was a personal aid to several seniors. Rhonda was predeceased by her parents George and Gail Neely; grandparents, Jim and Marian Neely/Ray and Ethel Zeer; aunts, Kay and Sharon; Uncle Roy and nephew Matt. She leaves to mourn her children; Cheyenne Anderson (Dusty) and Chase Anderson; friend, Albert Poirier; brother, Jim (Sherri) Neely; nephews, Logan Neely, Cole (Brittanie) Neely and their family, and niece Rae (Flavio) Agostinho, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Rhonda’s remains will be inurned privately at the family plot and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, as Chase’s recovery progresses.
