Anderson – Kermith William Anderson first son of Fred and Olivia Anderson was born on a cold, wintry night-January 8/30 with neighbour and midwife Gen Johnson in attendance for the delivery. The doctor came as soon as the frigid winter conditions made it possible for him by hand-pumped speeder rail car. Kermith was welcomed into the family by his older sister, Virginia and later he was joined by his sidekick, Ron and youngest sister, Elaine and baby brother, Doug. A beautiful strong family. Days were filled with hard work, great meals and times of laughter around the supper table. Kermith’s school days extended only to Grade 8 at Jenny Lind School as work on the farm required him to be there full time. Kermith and Ron worked endlessly and were constantly inventing new devices for farm life, tirelessly irrigating but always dreaming about the next enterprise. As a young man, Kermith had many close and fun-loving friends, including those in the Luther League. He attended CLBI for a term where he made many life-long friends. The best decision he ever made was to become acquainted with a bright-eyed, perky red-headed nurse in Brooks-Marie Clark. Wedding bells tolled for them June 12/54. Their relationship blossomed into a lifelong marriage of over 67 years. Together they dreamed, worked, played and raised a vibrant family of 5-Barbe, Tim, Patti, Stephen and Dale. The KW Anderson family lived less than a mile down from the road from the farmhouse where he was born and grew up in. Many renovations occurred in their home as there was need for more space and improvements Kermith’s dedication to his wife and family, church and community were exemplary-never considering himself but serving with his whole heart. Community involvement was a huge priority-having worked on many boards, serving as a county councillor, developing the S R & B Gas Coop with others, dedicating countless hours to the EID Historical Park. His passion for restoring vehicles of every dimension, especially John Deere units-trucks, tractors, model T cars, actually anything that had wheels filled his life with many projects. Kermith and Marie moved into Brooks in 2017 to Newbrook Lodge where they renewed acquaintances and received loving care. Challenges came as they moved again but took it in stride. Kermith lost his Marie suddenly on Nov. 5/21. A difficult transition Health changes meant another move to Sunrise where Kermith’s needs were met with the greatest care. It was there with a grandson holding his hand that he slipped quietly into Heaven on Oct. 31/23.
