Albright – Walter (Wally) Albright
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wally Albright, of Calgary, on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the age of 55 years. He was born on March 14, 1968 in Brooks, Alberta to Walter and Gertrude Albright. Wally grew up on a farm in Tilley, Alberta and attended school in Tilley graduating in 1986. After schooling, Wally worked at the Brooks Golf Club, until he acquired Brooks Oil & Gas. Wally’s passions in life were golf and travelling. He spent many winters down south doing the things he loved. Wally had many friends, who he made great memories with throughout his life. Wally was pre-deceased by his father, Walter Albright, in December 1998; also his niece Jordan Albright and nephew Richard Perry. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Albright and his four older sisters, Shirley, Jo-Ann, Donna and Patsy along with many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many treasured friends and loved ones. Wally’s passing is a great loss to all who knew him; but his memory will live on forever. Funeral services were held on Friday July 7, 2023 at 1:30 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooks. Pastor Maggie Theiss officiating. Wally was interred at the Brooks Cemetery after the service. A reception followed at Brooks Golf Club.
