Pozzo – Stella Ann Pozzo passed away peacefully in Brooks, on Thursday October 21, 2021 at the age of 86. Stella was born in Edmonton on March 23, 1935 and adopted by Jacob and Anna Dyck at birth. She married Charlie (Chuck) Pozzo on October 4, 1952 in Drumheller. They were married for 62 years, before Chuck passed away in 2015. Stella loved her sports and was catcher for a ladies baseball team and curled for many years and had many trophies and awards for this. She was very proud of her “8 Ender”. She loved going to football games and especially the Grey Cup games. She was a strong supporter of the local Bandits hockey team and when she wasn’t able to play sports she loved to watch curling, hockey, baseball and football on TV. She was a lifetime Royal Purple and Legion Member. Stella was predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Ann Pozzo, son-in-law Bobby Brodie, daughter-in-law Terry Pozzo and husband Chuck. Stella is survived by her children, daughter Jan and her husband Dan Mills of Brooks, son Chuck Pozzo of Coaldale, son Dean Pozzo of Fort McMurray and daughter Kelly Jo and her husband Ian Shorey of Brooks; twelve grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 25 at 1:00 PM at the Brooks Cemetery with Rev. John Theiss officiating. If friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of your choice.
