The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) has approved the request by Pace to place the solar project in Brooks into abeyance.
Pace stated that additional field work is required on the project site and they are considering an update to the project layout and updating the application to further consider the visual impacts.
In its decision the AUC found that the request was reasonable.
The AUC stated they are satisfied that providing, “Pace the time to amend and supplement its application will contribute to the fair, expeditious and efficient resolution of the issues in this proceeding.”
Pace is to provide the AUC an update in its progress and that it has consulted or corresponded with the City of Brooks by June 30.
The hearing that was to begin on April 14 is cancelled.
