Graham – Ralph Leeson “Lee” “Unc” Graham passed away in Brooks on October 11th, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  Lee was born on December 6th, 1941 at Bassano, Alberta.  He resided in Rainier, Alberta until he was 11 and then moved from the family farm to Calgary, Alberta where he attended Queen Elizabeth High School.  After marrying June Hostland on May 6th, 1961, Lee earned his Journeyman Carpenter certificate at S.A.I.T.  Their family moved to Brooks in December 1974.  While in Calgary he was involved in commercial construction including building a service station at Banff, several renovations to the Calgary General Hospital, the Federal Building and many other projects.  Lee was involved in construction during the housing boom in Brooks.  He also worked on the construction of the Taber Hospital and buildings at a heli-ski resort in Blue River, BC.  Lee enjoyed fishing and camping, especially at Windermere, BC and Lake Newell.  Favorite vacations took Lee and company exploring the West Coast of Canada and USA and visiting many of the US states.  Lee was a mentor who was always willing to lend a helping hand or his tools and did not expect anything in return (except his tools).  He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and expertise with his son Greg, and son-in-law Brian.  Lee was the “build it square and plumb” guy.  He had a sharp eye for detail and an even sharper memory for all of his projects.  Lee was happy to critique any of Greg or Brian’s work.  He enjoyed spending afternoons in his garage and on his deck with his closest circle of friends and family up until his hospitalization.  Even though his body weakened, his mind and memory remained sharp even into his last days.  Along with his loving wife June, of 60 years, he is survived by his daughter Shauna (Brian) Mokelky; son Greg (Cindy) Graham; grandchildren Cori (David) Bridges of Saint Albert, Lindsey (Jesse) Koza of Brooks, Justin (Katie) Graham of Brooks, Diana Graham and her partner Cam Morishita of Brooks and seven great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Joan Graham of Brooks and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many others who called him Unc.  A family service will be held with interment in Brooks Cemetery. Pastor Daryle Fox officiating.
