Sorensen – Morris Delyle Sorensen passed away in Brooks on October 19th, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Born in Carmangay, Alberta on September 6th, 1920 Delyle’s family farmed in the district and he received his first two years of schooling. The family moved to Magrath and Delyle completed his schooling there. Delyle and Leone Rasmussen were married on December 11th, 1940 at the Alberta Temple in Cardston. They moved to Rosemary where Delyle farmed in the community. He had a great love of working the land. Delyle was an active member of the Rosemary Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints serving of the Bishopric and doing various Lord Callings. Both he and Leone loved to sing, they were both in the choir and had sung many duets. Delyle will be lovingly remembered for his willingness to help others, for his positive attitude and for his smile, laughter and handshake. He was predeceased by Leone August 16th, 1993; son Kevin on May 30th, 1982; granddaughter Kara Dee Reid on February 5th, 1975 and grandson Weston Reid on June 30th, 1978; 2 sisters Onita and Heraldine and a brother Merlin. He is survived by his loving family – daughter Lyla-Dee Reid and her husband Patrick of Sherwood Park and their family, Halli (Jay) Lilburn of Edmonton and children Iarnan, Eartha and Kaiomhe, their sons Bretton of Calgary and Taylor of Sherwood Park; daughter Kayneta Schoenfeld and her husband Eldon of Rosemary and their daughter Debbie and her children Robert and his children Dominick and Jada and Ashley of Medicine Hat, their daughter Nancy (Kent) Lassiter of Bassano and children Colton and Brittany, their daughter Mia and children Kayla, Cassandra and Damon of Rosemary; daughter Noni Rolfson and her husband Richard of Rosemary and their children – son Shane (Jill) Campbell of Taber and children Shayla, Haley and Alyssa; their son Clint and children David and Kira of Taber, their son Rod of Taber, their son Kevin in Calgary and their daughter Raenesha of Brooks; brother Lester (Dorothy) Sorensen of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 22nd from the Rosemary Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Richard Hall officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are the six granddaughters. Pallbearers are the six grandsons. Interment will follow at Rosemary Cemetery.
