Stevenson – Bonnie Belle (Bailey) Stevenson passed away at the Brooks Health Centre on July 23, 2020. She was born on September 10, 1934 in Perry, Oklahoma. After a bit of international travel, Bonnie moved to Brooks with her husband, Ken, in 1973 where they made their home. During their early years, Granny worked at the Brooks Answering Service, Fabricland and spent hours sewing and crafting. She traveled around Alberta and Saskatchewan with Ken keeping the oil patch running smoothly. After their retirement, they traveled to various craft shows and farmers’ markets. Bonnie was predeceased by her loving husband, Ken Stevenson. She is survived by her daughters Pamela Steele (Brian Krause), Patti Anderson (Wayne), and Cindy Rice (David). Bonnie is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and her little black dog, Molly. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all. Mom often said that she and Ken were “frequent flyers” at the Brooks Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent the Brooks & District Health Foundation, Bag 300, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B3. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
