Cooper – Clair Patrick Cooper of Cereal, Alberta passed away peacefully February 29, 2020 at the Big Country Hospital in Oyen, Alberta at the age of 72 years.
Clair was born May 31, 1947 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He grew up in Beverly, Saskatchewan the eldest of seven children born to loving parents Lea & Athlone Cooper. Clair worked in the Oil & Gas industry for over 45 years, where he introduced many family and friends to the sector. He was always a dreamer and eventually those dreams became a reality when Clair and his first wife Reta started one of many companies, Cooper Perforating while residing in Brooks, Alberta. In the 80’s Clair got out of the Oil & Gas industry for a while and moved to Creelman, Saskatchewan where he and his second wife Betty started a restaurant in Griffin called the Trailside Café’. Clair and Betty later moved to Medicine Hat where he once again worked in the Oil & Gas industry as an Consultant up until his retirement. Clair made his final home in Cereal, Alberta where he unexpectedly lost his wife Betty in 2008. Clair was able to find companionship again with his late wife’s friend Gaylene and they married in 2011

His Grandchildren: Savannah; Shyan, Nicholas; Jaelynn, Kristian; Paige, Zavier; Megan, Owen, Leslie, Kallee Mai and Kash
His wife Gaylene and her family
His Siblings: Turp (Sandy) Cooper; Becky Cooper (Vern); Theresa (Terry) Olson; Robin Cooper
Clair was Predeceased by: His parents Lea & Athlone; His Brother Edward; His Sister Josephine; His Wife Betty; His Granddaughter Megan; His Daughter In-law Jeannie.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Clair at the Irvine Sports Complex in Irvine, Alberta at 3 pm on March 14, 2020.
