Allan – William Neil Allan of Brooks, beloved husband of Frieda Allan, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at the age of 93 years. Bill was born on May 17th, 1926 on the family farm near Creelman, Saskatchewan to Andrew and Hazel Allan. He attended school in Creelman, always top of his class. Bill never quit learning, he took night classes in Winnipeg, receiving his Class A welding ticket and later earned a plumbing ticket as well. He moved to Brooks, where he owned and operated his own construction business, W. Allan Construction. Bill retired in 2001 at the age of 75 years. Following his retirement, Bill enjoyed planting trees and working on the acreage, always under the watchful eye of his faithful cat Duffus. He would then patiently watch as the yard matured. Bill will be fondly remembered for his smile and the love he had for the little ones, especially his 36 great grandkids, who he always found time for. He was predeceased by his son Robert; parents, Andrew and Hazel; brothers, John, Alex, Ed and Mac and 2 granddaughters. Bill is survived by his loving wife Frieda; sister Mary (Gordon) Thomas; daughters, Catherine Allan, Margaret Allan, Merle Colbert and Diane Allan; stepchildren, Garry (Danialle), Brad (Fluerette), Karen (Zoni), Bonna, Jim (Joanna) and Brenda (Jack), 2 grandchildren, 22 step grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 PM from Brooks Victory Church. Pastor Aaron Barrington officiating.
