    Vossler – Emil Vossler of Brooks, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on November 2nd, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Born in Irvine, Alberta on January 27th, 1915 Emil received his education in Medicine Hat. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Private, with the Regina Rifles, serving over seas. Emil married Clara Barbara Deg on December 20th, 1947 and had one son Dale on August 13th, 1951. They farmed in Tilley and operated a services station for 2 years before moving to Brooks in September of 1963. They later moved to the Newbrook Lodge in March of 2005 where they have resided since. Emil loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Emil was predeceased by his parents John and Louise Vossler, brothers Fred, Otto, John and Jack, sisters Matilda, Olga, Rebecca, Martha and Emma. He is survived by his loving family, wife Clara; son Dale and his wife Joyce; grandson Chris and his wife Abigail and their children Caleb and Lilah all of Brooks; sister Elsie Depas of Vancouver and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7th at 2:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooks. Rev. John Theiss officiating. A family graveside service to be held at Brooks Cemetery.
