Wiebe – Douglas Allan Wiebe of Brooks, beloved husband of Beverley Wiebe, passed away in Brooks on Tuesday, August 11th, 2015 at the age of 57 years. He was born in Brooks on July 9th, 1958 and received his schooling in Rainier Grades 1 – 6, Scandia Grades 7 – 10 and Brooks Grades 10 – 12. Doug met Beverley Smith in 1982 and were married on June 29th, 1996 residing in Tilley and later Patricia. He worked for DaPaJo Construction running backhoe for over 31 years. Doug’s passion was the Calgary Flames, playing Farm Town on his computer and listening to music. He will be remembered for being a loving and caring person and always putting his family before himself. Doug was predeceased by his father Peter Wiebe, younger sister Carol Wright, mother-in-law Ruth Smith and brother-in-law Lauren Shields. He is survived by his loving wife Bev, of Patricia; 3 daughters, Tracy Davis and her husband Ron of Brooks, Misty Smith of Patricia and Christina Fizzard and her husband Angus of Brooks; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; mother Mary Wiebe; sister Maryann Shields; brother Craig Wiebe and extended family members that held a special place in Doug’s heart. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19th at 2:00 PM from Brooks Evangelical Free Church. Pastor Garth Everett officiating.
