Wilson – Gordon James Wilson (GW) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in Brooks. Gordon was born on January 7, 1934 at Moosomin, Sask. He moved to Brooks in 1973 to work for the Town of Brooks eventually becoming Fire Chief. Gord’s passions in life were his family, the Fire Department, playing ball and just having fun.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother and sister, his infant son, father and mother-in-law and his great granddaughter. Gordon is survived by his wife June, daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Bob MacCallum, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Randy Assmus, daughter-in-law Donna Wilson (Brent), son Barry Wilson and his prides and joys, his grandchildren, Justin (Ellen) MacCallum, Sandy MacCallum, Tyler Wilson and Emily Wilson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiated. Honorary pallbearers were the Auxiliary Members of the Brooks Fire Department.
