Violet was born in Chailey, Alberta on January 20th, 1925. She married Donald Anderberg on January 19th 1946. Violet will be remembered as Auntie Vi to nearly everyone who knew her, her door was always open and a bed ready for anyone who was weary, and open arms for anyone who needed comfort. She was enormously proud of her vegetable and flower gardens and yard. Many for her family and friends shared the bounty of her harvests over the years. Violet cherished her family and relatives and it was important to her to stay in touch. Her mantle was filled with a mountain of Christmas cards that were proudly displayed. She loved to laugh and was a loving and giving person. There was always a meal on the table, hot coffee in the pot, along with cookies, cakes and pies. Violet always had a recipe to share or if asked, a solution to a problem. Her interests included gardening, knitting, flower arranging, cooking, baking, cake decorating, dancing, sewing, puzzles, beading Christmas ornaments and visiting with family and friends. She was also a lifetime member of the Royal Purple.
