FEHR – Andrew W. Fehr, age 84 years, 7 months, and 28 days passed on to his eternal reward April 6, 2025 at his home in Dunster, British Columbia.
Andrew was born August 9, 1940 at Swift Current, Saskatchewan, to John and Anna (Wall) Fehr. On Nov. 6, 1960 he married Marie Dick at Cecil Lake British Columbia who preceded him in death on August 19, 2024. God blessed them with 63 years together. Andrew and Marie lived at Cecil Lake for the first 19 years of their married life. Out of concern for the welfare and education of their children they felt the call of God to move to McBride, British Columbia, in 1979. There they raised their family and blessed the lives of many. In 1999 they moved to Duchess, Alberta, and lived there until 2021 when they moved into an adjoining house of their daughter and son-in-law Marie and Isaac in Dunster, British Columbia. Church attendance was a highlight for him. He was a member of the McBride Mennonite Church at the time of his death.
Andrew and Marie’s home was blessed with 15 children, 14 of whom survive: Andy (Lena Sue) Fehr of Albany, Oregon, Marie (Isaac) Martin of Dunster, British Columbia, Margaret (Allen) Baer of Gervais, Oregon, Herman ( Janet) Fehr of Lethbridge, Alberta, Peter (Liesa) Fehr of Lethbridge, Alberta, Anna (Larry) Torkelson of LaGlace, Alberta, Agnes (Elvin) Ebersol of Milton Freewater, Oregon, Kathrine (Merlyn) Huber of New Dayton, Alberta, Anthony Fehr of Prince George, British Columbia, Stella (Gerald) Torkelson of Duchess, Alberta, Susie Fehr of Kamloops, British Columbia, Trudy (Al) Wilms of Coaldale, Alberta, Sarah (Tony) Peters of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Conrad (Carol) Fehr of New Dayton, Alberta. He is also survived by 65 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, his mother-in-law Margaret Dick, two brothers, Peter and Martin, and six sisters, Anna, Mary, Christina, Helena, Katherina, and Agnes. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel, his parents, John and Anna (Wall)Fehr, six brothers, Ben, Cornie, John, Jacob, Diedrich, and Erdman, and two sisters, Margaret, and Eva. One of his joys in life was to be covered in grease from head to foot.
Special thanks from the family to Susana Peters for her compassionate care of our father during the final months of his life.
Also, thank you to the McBride Mennonite Church, the local community, and extended family for your prayers and support, and to the nurses at the McBride Hospital for being there for us when we had questions and needs.

FEHR – Marie Fehr, age 83 years, 3 months, and 3 days, passed on to her eternal reward on August 19, 2024, at her home in Dunster, British Columbia after a brief battle with cancer.
Marie was born on May 16, 1941 at Burns Lake, British Columbia to Herman and Margaret Dick. She survived polio at the age of 11 but it left it’s permanent mark on her life. From a young age she had a strong faith in God and her faith has been an encouragement to the many lives she touched.
On November 6, 1960 she married Andrew Fehr at Cecil Lake, British Columbia and God blessed them with 63 years together. Andrew and Marie lived at Cecil Lake, British Columbia for the first 19 years of their married life. Out of concern for the welfare and education of their children they felt the call of God to move to McBride, British Columbia in 1979. There they raised their family and blessed the lives of many. In 1999 they moved to Duchess, Alberta and lived there for 20 years until 2021 when they moved into an adjoining house of their daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Isaac Martin, in Dunster, British Columbia. Each one of Marie’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are blessed beyond measure with the faithful example of love and obedience that she has left us with.
Marie is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Fehr. Their home was blessed with 15 children, 14 of whom survive: Andy (Lena Sue) Fehr of Albany Oregon, Marie (Isaac) Martin of Dunster, British Columbia, Margaret (Allen) Baer of Gervais Oregon, Herman (Janet) Fehr of Lethbridge Alberta, Peter (Liesa) Fehr of Lethbridge, Alberta, Anna (Larry) Torkelson of LaGlace, Alberta, Agnes (Elvin) Ebersol of Milton Freewater, Oregon, Anthony Fehr of Prince George, British Columbia, Kathryn (Merlin) Huber of New Dayton Alberta, Stella (Gerald) Torkelson of Duchess, Alberta, Susie Fehr of Kamloops, British Columbia, Trudy (Al) Wilms of Coaldale, Alberta, Sarah (Tony) Peters of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Conrad (Carol) Fehr of New Dayton, Alberta. She is also survived by her mother Margaret Dick, 2 sisters: Margaret Eva Dick and Sarah Bueckert and 2 brothers: John Dick and Herman Dick.
She was preceded in death by her father Herman Dick, a brother in law Jake Bueckert, and a son Daniel Fehr who was killed in a logging accident in 1994.
Mom was an avid gardener and passed the love of gardening on to many of her children. She enjoyed
taking the time to connect with each one of her grandchildren and many have fond memories of playing
games with Grandma. Her example of faithfulness is an encouragement to all of us!

2 Timothy 2:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day and not to me only but unto all them that love his appearing.
