Dafoe – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald Lee Dafoe (Donnie), who passed away surrounded by family in the Medicine Hat Hospital on Monday, March 31st, 2025 at the age of 61 years. Don touched many lives with his generous love and compassionate spirit. His will and faith in God gave him strength through many health difficulties and his family will forever cherish his love and the memories he left behind. His life was an inspiration to many, he faced all of life’s challenges with strength and unwavering faith. He was a loving father and an amazing Papa. He enjoyed camping in the mountains, listening to music, and taking his family to local hockey games. Don was born on October 25th, 1963 in Edmonton, Alberta and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Carlee Walters, Colleen (Andrew) Luchies, and Kendra Dafoe (Dean); grandchildren, McKenzee, Logen, Fenix, Airdric, Rylan, Kale, and Aurora; parents, Ken and Viona Dafoe; siblings, brother Doug (Roxanne) Dafoe, sister Ruth Dafoe and brother Rick (Sandra) Dafoe, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As Don was part of the Brooks Evangelical Free Church family, we will celebrate his life together there on Thursday, April 10th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Garth Everett officiating. The family askes in lieu of flowers that a donation be made directly to Southern Alberta Bible Camp, 100 – 151002 RR213 Vulcan County, Lomond, Alberta T0L 1G0
