City council has officially terminated a member of the Municipal Planning Commission.
Jim Third, who was appointed as a citizen-at-large in February 2023, has not attended a meeting in eight months but the commission continued to excuse him.
On Oct. 7 city council terminated his appointment effective immediately.
Roles of the MPC members include helping to plan and to make recommendations on land use and development.
