Perry – The family of Carol Evelyn Perry of Brooks, Alberta sadly announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she passed away peacefully with her loving husband George and her children by her side on Thursday September 19th, 2024, at the age of 85 years. Born on October 19th, 1938, in Coleman, Alberta to Muriel and Gabriel D’Amico, she was the first of three daughters. She is survived by her loving husband George Perry; her children Dean Perry (Theresa), Leanne Perry (Bob) and Julieann Lausen (Kelly, deceased); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grand-children and 3 great-great grandchildren and her sister Trudy (Rick). Carol was pre-deceased by her parents, Gabriel and Muriel D’Amico, son Ronald, grandson Richard, and her sister Elenore. Carol was raised in Coleman, Alberta, where she attended all her schooling and graduated from Coleman High School. She made many lifelong friends and always viewed life as full of opportunity if you are brave enough to work hard for it. Carol and George attended the Pass reunions down in the Crowsnest Pass as often as they could. Carol loved getting together with old friends and chatting about everything going on in everyone’s lives. As well Carol and George loved to dance and went out regularly in Brooks, as well as travelling to attend dances in other surrounding towns and cities. They loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Carol was a member of the Order of Royal Purple for many, many years, being of service to the community in many aspects. She eventually became the Honored Royal Lady, which she took great pride in. Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother will always be remembered for her love of family. Her family was everything to her and she was an extremely fierce protecter of all of us. All who were her friends were also protected under this wing. We are all going to miss her stead fast presence in our lives, her guidance as well as her unending love. The big family and friends’ suppers at Christmas and Thanksgiving. All the potluck parties that entertained hundreds of people. So much love and fun was had out at the Perry Ranch, she absolutely loved every minute of it. As well, let us not forget her unforgettable lemon tarts, never to be duplicated because her love made them unforgettable. A Celebration of her well lived Life was held at the Heritage Inn and Convention Centre, Brooks on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:00 AM. Rev. John Theiss officiating. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
