Bandits 2-0 over the weekend to start BCHL 2024-25 season

The BCHL Brooks Bandits are settling in nicely in the new season and are 2-0.
The team defeated the Okotoks Oilers 5-0 in Okotoks on Friday and on Saturday the Bandits hosted the Oilers for the first home game and defeated them 5-1.
In Okotoks on Friday Parker Lalonde earned a hat trick including two powerplay goals and on Saturday he had a pair of assists for six points and is the BCHL’s overall points leader.
Bandits Isaac Johnson who had a pair of goals and three assists for five points in his first two games with the team, is fourth overall in points.
In Okotoks on Friday Nick Peluso had a pair of goals and an assist, Josh Wiebe had a one goal as did Nathan Brown.
In Brooks on Saturday in front of a hometown crowd of 1,356, Nathan Free opened the scoring for the Bandits which was followed by Lalonde’s back-to-back power play goals, one from Johnson and Lalonde’s third goal for the hat trick.
The home game included inside the Centennial Regional Arena.
