Galloway- It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Bill Galloway. Bill passed away peacefully at home on November 29th , 2023 surrounded by his wife and family at the age of 78 years. Bill was born in Brooks on July 19, 1945 to Clarence and Myrtle Galloway. He grew up in Brooks and resided here for most of his life except for one year in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. He married Norma Swanson on June 29th, 1968 in Lethbridge, Alberta. They celebrated their 55th anniversary last June. Bill was employed in the oil patch throughout his life. Bill started his own company Galloway Steaming and Pressure Washing Ltd. in 1995 and operated it until 2012 with his son, Cody. He was proud of his business and worked hard until his health deteriorated. He enjoyed traveling, camping and air shows. Bill was also an avid reader, sometimes having as many as three books on the go at the same time. He loved reading western history, western novels, wartime stories, and national geographic. Bill will be best remembered for his quick wit and unique sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh, enjoyed playing practical jokes and no matter the situation he could almost always get you to crack a smile or share a giggle. This was something that brought great joy to Bill and even up to the last moments of his life, Bill maintained his sense of humor.
