PHILPOTT – Mrs. Eva Philpott, beloved wife of Mr. Gordon Philpott of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Eva also leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Nora (Patrick) McNally and their children, Joel, Elizabeth and Connor; one son, Don (Karen) Philpott and their children, Sarah and Garth; one sister and best friend, Mary (Peter) Hoeppner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Eugene Kush, Q.C. Eva was born to Nicholas and Katherina Kush in Calgary on February 27th, 1933. She spent her childhood in Brooks where she met and married the love of her life, Gordon Philpott, in 1950 – “with $63.00 in our pocket and also hope, we were ready to conquer the world”. Eva spent her early years raising her children and later worked together with Gordon to build their pipeline business. In Eva’s later years, she touched many lives, transferring family movies onto DVD, saving memories for many families. She was indeed a “computer nut.” Eva was always full of life and fun, no matter what adversity she faced. She will always be remembered for her strength and her love of family. Eva will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. We, the family, wish to sincerely thank the Staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the care and respect given to our mother.
