PIERSON – Kody Randal Pierson was born on February 21st, 1983 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He passed away in his home on August 11th, 2003 at the age of 20 years.
Kody graduated high school from the Berry Creek Community School in Cessford in 2001. He has been enrolled in the chemical engineering program at SAIT in Calgary for the past couple of years and was most recently working for Strongarm Services in Patricia.
Kody was always very active in sports – belonging to many hockey, basketball and baseball teams. He was an active 4-H club member for ten years, winning the grand champion steer in 1999. Kody enjoyed quading, snowboarding, camping, girls, and hanging out with his friends and family. He will be remembered for his huge heart, encouraging hand and love of people.
He was predeceased by his Grandfather Tom Musgrove and his Uncle Darcy Musgrove.
Kody is survived by his parents Randy and Rita Pierson of Wardlow, 2 sisters – Tracy and Gina, Grandparents Dan and Jewell Pierson of Wardlow and Louise Musgrove of Patricia; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 16th, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Duchess Mennonite Church, Pastors Phil Doan and Alvin Penner presiding. Honorary pallbearers were all of Kody’s many special friends and family. Active Pallbearers were Dave Connaughton, Steve McKnight, Brandin Beasley, Sonny Kozma, Clayton Bunney, Clayton Conners, Chad Flannagan, Keith Evans and Cody Wohlers.
