1932 ~ Winfred Vanderloh ~ 2021
Mr. Winfred (Win) Vanderloh, beloved husband to the late Jacqueline (Jackie), passed away on Friday, December 10th, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Win leaves to cherish his memory four children, Gwen (Dan) Aebly and Donna (Daryl) Halter both of Jenner, Ken Vanderloh of Lethbridge and Keith (Tammy) Vanderloh of Medicine Hat; 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, Dustin (Jodi-Lea) Aebly and Hadley & Callie; Denton Aebly (Tracy Zurborg) and Paisley, Dax and Cortland; Dallas (Derek) Wilcox and Fynn, Sully and Harper; Dannell (Chris) Stucki and Morgan; Drew Halter (Tanya VanOtterloo); Dylan (Kayshia Langille); Dana Halter (Kyle Bukauskas); Deandra Halter (Zach Copley) and Bennett; Lorna Vanderloh (Branden Wiley); Coleman Vanderloh; Kodi Vanderloh (Kelsey Skrove); Tanner Vanderloh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Win was predeceased by both parents, three sisters and one brother. Win was born February 7, 1932 in LeRoy Saskatchewan (sec. 17 Twp. 36 Rge 21 W of 2nd Saskatchewan). Win was raised at Ravenscrag, Saskatchewan. Win met Jackie when working at Murray Ranches at Tilley and they were married in Brooks on June 2, 1962. They lived up North for a short time before returning to Murray Ranch. Then resided at Atlee, Alberta for many years where Win was a range rider for the Buffalo Atlee Community Pasture. During the winter months he worked for Dynamar/Hexagon Energy. Throughout Win’s life he worked for various Ranches (Murray Ranches, Hargrave Ranch, Howard Jones Ranch) before retiring to Medicine Hat.
In Win’s retirement he enjoyed camp, attending the CFR, Chuckwagon races, Mavericks baseball games, listening to Tigers hockey games, as he was no longer able to attend and time with his family and friends. Win will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and many friends. There will be a private funeral service held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 with Pastor Shane Andrus officiating.
