Moss – Ward Franklin Moss was surrounded by the pure love of Janelle, Ashley and Brianna on October 14, 2021 at the age of 57 years old. We are completely heartbroken and our lives are forever changed.  Ward was a gentle soul, kind, selfless, strong and humble man. Ward was born in Bassano, AB to Bernard and Mary Lou Moss on June 28, 1964 “the best day of the year”. He was the youngest brother to Gloria and Lana, and because he was a boy, he received special treatment through the “Male Protection Plan”, which really meant all the men in the Moss family were always doted on. Ward began trucking with his Mom and Dad at the age of 16. He enjoyed driving for 41 years. After Bernard’s passing, Ward took on his role with great pride for 25 years. Janelle and Ward were married on July 19, 1997, where Ashley was welcomed to the Moss Family as well. On April 10, 1998, Brianna was born and she took on the Moss genes. She was frequently called Little Mossy. Ward was a proud Father, the girls #1 supporter and he was even a prouder Papa. Ward loved his select movies, and he was famous for quoting many lines. He loved music. There weren’t too many concerts he hadn’t been too. We played music trivia, where I needed many hints. Ward was a sports fanatic, he loved his Miami Dolphins, the Stamps, Blue Jays and the Flames. He would even tune into a soccer game. In 2012, Ward finally decided to buy a Harley, little did we know how much he loved riding solo and with his friends. He found peace in riding and was a great escape from the days end. Ward was predeceased by his Father, Bernard Moss, Aunt Rose Munroe, Uncle Joe King, Auntie Fran, Grandmother Mildred King, Cousin Doug Moss and friend Tex. Ward is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janelle Moss; daughter Ashley (Darryll), grandchildren Khloe and Khesler Sieben; daughter Brianna Moss; mother Mary Lou Moss; sister Gloria (Murray) Fraser; nephew Clayton (Jamie) Fraser; niece Connie Fraser; sister Lana (Wade) Peterson and nephews Coleman and Curtis Peterson. Ward is survived by numerous family and friends that we are eternally grateful for. A Family service was held.
