Bobinski – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Gary Bobinski announced his sudden passing on Monday, October 4th, 2021 in Brooks, Alberta. Gary was born on August 14th, 1960 in Edmonton, Alberta then moved with his family to Stettler, Alberta where he met his previous wife of over 25 years. They had two daughters and moved to Rainier, Alberta in 1995, to settle and raise their family. It was here where Gary started his career with Eastern Irrigation District (EID) and many family members recall him enthusiastically describing how to calculate the flow of water to meet the farmers needs. Gary was an avid Oilers fan watching hockey as a child with his family, staying a fan through thick and thin and enjoying the competition against that other Alberta team. Gary loved camping, traveling, reading, visiting with friends but most of all he loved his girls; Ashley, Michelle, Paige and Ava. They were his pride and joy! Gary was predeceased by his father Frank Bobinski and survived by his mother Connie Bobinski; daughters, Ashley Johnston (Grahame) and Michelle Bobinski; grandchildren Paige and Ava Johnston;  sisters, Wanda Bobinski (Gord) and Donna Lygo (Jim) and their families; brothers Wayne Bobinski (Ruth) and Johnathan Bobinski and their families. In Gary’s honour, donations can be made directly to Alberta Ducks Unlimited, Suite 300, 10525 – 170th Street, Edmonton, Alberta   T5P 4W2 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1200 – 119 14th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta   T2N 1Z6.
