SCHMIDT – John David Schmidt
December 13, 1939 – July 3, 2017
John was born to Jacob and Lydia Schmidt in Medicine Hat, AB, and spent his childhood on the farm in Manyberries, farming, riding and playing baseball. In 1963 John married Diane Stickel, and they went on to raise four kids of their own. John was predeceased by his parents and three of his sisters, Jacqueline Schmidt, Annie (John) Urichuk, and Shirley (Bill) Lawson. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, their four children, Ron, Joyce, April, Trish (Stacy), nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two sisters, Dorothy (Fred) Yanke and Ida (Larry) Ehnes.
