Schulz – James Norman Schulz, beloved husband of Ardella Schulz of Brooks, passed away after a brief illness on December 10th at the age of 57 years. He was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on December 29th, 1947. Jim and Ardella were married on August 16th, 1969 in Maple Creek and resided there until moving their family to Brooks in 1980. Upon arriving in Brooks, Jim worked for PanCanadian Petroleum for many years, before becoming Area Manager for RayDan Transport Ltd. in the Brooks office. He was very active with his children’s lives and activities, such as team chauffer, sideline coach, No #1 fan and over all supporter. Jim will be remembered by his family as always being there for everything. Jim was a big sports fan, especially hockey, and was an avid fan of the local hockey program. Jim was predeceased by his mother Margaret and sisters-in-law Cindy, Nancy and Carol. He is survived by his loving family, wife Ardella of Brooks, son Trevor and his wife Angela and their daughter Madison of Calgary; daughter Becky Schulz of Calgary; father Ivan Schulz of Maple Creek; sister Laurie Schulz of Medicine Hat; brother Les Schulz of Maple Creek and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Tea will be held on Friday, December 16th at 2:00 PM at the EID Legion.
