SEWALL – Norma Elizabeth (Bette) Sewall passed away peacefully on June 15, 2007 at the Brooks Hospital.
Bette was born in Davyroyd, Saskatchewan in 1924. Bette was a lively, outgoing, humorous lady who enjoyed life and her time with family and friends. Bette loved travelling, being active in the community and spending time in her yard, digging in the dirt and sharing her flowers, not to mention spending endless hours on her lawn mower!
Bette was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1970; her parents Norman and Beth Symons of Calgary, AB; brothers, Harry of Palo Alto, California and Stanfield of Edmonton, AB.
Bette is survived by her four children: Mary Jane (Dwight) of Redwood Meadows, AB.; Dan (Kathy) of Waterton, AB.; Chad (Susan) of Patricia, AB; Scott of Patricia, AB. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bobbi Rae, Kida and Chad; sister Gwen McLeod of Calgary, AB. in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bette’s wish is for everyone to celebrate her life in the way you would like to remember her. At a later date there will be a “Bette” day for family and friends to celebrate her life and remember special times that were shared.
The family and Bette would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses and caregivers who have given so much in making her life and ours more comfortable. Your patience, kindness and understanding will never be forgotten… you were all so special to Bette! And cheers to those who got one of Bette’s special bouquets!
