Board meetings should be recorded
It is obvious from the comments at the recent E.I.D. annual general meeting that water users feel there is a lack of accountability and transparency at the board level.
Some stressed it was important to have minutes that genuinely reflect what transpires at each meeting. They should also include some of the directors’ comments that were made prior to any decision so that water users could understand why a certain decision was made and which directors were in support.
