Festival of Trees Nov. 23-26
Musicians, choirs, bands, crafters and clubs are scheduled to take part in the 23rd annual Festival of Trees. The family-oriented event is a tradition in Brooks. Locally decorated and sponsored Christmas trees are sold during the event and will remain on display during the festival.

Bassano Broncos are provincial bound
Bassano senior girls volleyball team will travel to Bonnyville Wednesday to compete for a provincial championship. The team earned the right to compete in provincial play by placing second behind zone host Cremona this past weekend. The two teams were involved in a three set battle. Bassano went undefeated in their pool beating Olds, Duchess and Trochu. Coach Shawna Singular said the Olds game was a nail biter in game one but the Lady Broncos got things rolling in game two to win the match. The girls handled Trochu quite easily and the Duchess match was a battle at the start.

Bassano Arts Council presents music from “The Wardens”
On Thursday, November 23rd, the Bassano Arts Council will host their second concert in their 34th season. With performances equal to the mastery of the ranger trade, The Wardens – Scott Ward, Bradley Bischoff and Ray Schmidt – are a Banff National Park-based trio whose stories rise from the very land they’ve protected for the past 60+ years. They will take the stage at the Bassano Community Hall at 7:30pm, with the doors opening at 6:30pm. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
