Elk hunt no cure for problem
A Jenner rancher fears the ballooning CFB Suffield elk situation will lead to more destruction as well as disease and death if the situation continues to be ignored and the herd isn’t thinned out faster. Jeff Lewandoski said the provincial and federal governments are “turning a blind eye” to the situation which is not improving.

Medieval Faire can stay at Ye Olde Rodeo Grounds for 2015
The Brooks Medieval Faire can remain at the Ye Olde Rodeo Grounds for another year. Brooks mayor Martin Shields said all the committee has to do is ask. “Council has agreed, if they need to stay another year they can stay there,” he said. “If they’re still working on the future of being in another location and they need more time to get that done, then yes, we’ll extend it another year,” he said.

Epic football game predicted by coach
Brooks Roadrunners will host the Cardston Cougars Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Southern Alberta Minor Football Association semi-finals. The team advanced to the semi-finals with a 41-6 win over a tough Claresholm Raiders team last Saturday.
