Personal best for top runner in Pump It Up event
Taking the title at this year’s Brooks Rotary Club’s Pump It Up Run at Dinosaur Provincial Park meant managing hills in the park’s preserve area. “I feel a little tired. I didn’t expect the hills to be so hard,” said Tyron Mossing of De Winton, following his race. Mossing ran a personal best, crossing the finish line at 42:07.00 which was just two minutes over his last year’s time of 43:65.30.

Iwanegbe is named to East West Bowl roster
St. Joseph’s Collegiate alumnus Cyril Iwanegbe has been chosen to play in the East West Bowl on May 9. Unfortunately for the University of Calgary Dinos defensive back, rehabilitation from a knee injury last season will prevent him from playing. Despite this, he does plan on taking in some of the activities leading up to the game at McGill University’s Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in Montreal.

Brooks running enthusiast training for 103 km event
 A Brooks woman is passionate about running.Rhonda Loo just completed a half marathon in Honolulu and plans on running an ultra-marathon in Greece this year. “I like running in Hawaii. It is one of my favorite places to run,” she said. Loo said she ran the half-marathon as a testing point to see where she was at following treatment for a nagging injury that has bothered her since 2013.
