    Mr. Lionel Watson, beloved husband of Mrs. Clara Watson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, January 27th, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Lionel also leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Heather (Steve) Kowitch of Medicine Hat; one son, Jack T. D. Watson of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren, Kyle Watson and Colby Bolton; two brothers, Jack (Pat) Watson of Coronation, and Glynn (Helen) Watson of Ladysmith, British Columbia; two sisters, Iris (Jake) Penner of Calgary and Annie (Marvin) Johnson of Marwayne, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lionel was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Nancy Watson. Lionel was born on March 15th, 1927 at Veteran, Alberta where he was raised. Following graduation from high school at Coronation he became employed in the oilfield industry where he continued to work for the next forty years. Lionel married Clara Hunter on May 5th, 1956 in Brandon, Manitoba. He was very dedicated to his family, friends and work. Lionel was a Life Member of the Masonic Order, Shrine, O.E.S. the Loyal Order of Moose and the Elks. The Funeral Service will be held in WESTMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 101 – 6th Street SE, on Thursday, February 1st, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
