    WALSH – Thomas R. Walsh
    March 3, 1952 – February 8, 2018

    With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Richard Walsh of Brooks, AB – beloved husband and soul mate of Jane. Tom passed away quietly at home with his wife and family by his side on February 8, 2018. Tom was born on March 3, 1952 in Botwood, NL, raised in Bishop’s Falls, NL to the late Thomas and Kathleen Walsh. He was predeceased by his loving father-in-law – James Murray.
    Tom is survived by his loving wife, Jane and blended family of five children: Kelly (John) Potiuk, Kate (Blake) Connors, Scott (Lisa) Nelson, Jennifer (Shane) Price and Tom Walsh.
    His heart’s delight were his six precious grandchildren, Brooke and Rylee Potiuk, Emily and Colton Connors, Hunter and Harper Price. He also leaves to mourn, his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Murray, brothers-in-law, Brian (Eileen), Neil (Darlaine) and Ross (Jackie) Murray. Siblings across Canada: Mary, Jed, Patrick, Kathie, Andre, Patricia, Sean, Sharon, Blaine and Blair and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Tom was blessed with a wonderful singing voice, a sense of humor and a zest for life. Though born on the east coast, he moved west settling in Alberta. He loved Alberta, it’s diverse beauty, and opportunity. Tom was full of boundless energy and was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was able to fix anything, if he couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed.
    Always surrounded by family and friends, Tom’s life was full and content. He took pride in any project he attempted. He was a renovator, and a wood worker, musician, entertainer, and friend to many. Tom enjoyed his motorcycle rides across Canada, mountain biking, he was an avid reader and loved to cook.
    Keeping busy everyday, always with a smile and a joke, he was there for everyone. He will be truly missed and loved forever.
    A private prayer service took place with family gathered and a celebration of Tom’s life will be held.
