    Snyders – Cody John Snyders of Brooks, Alberta, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at the age of 50 years old. Cody was born on July 26th, 1968 at the Brooks Hospital to his loving parents Julius and Marie Snyders. He was raised in Brooks and graduated from the Brooks Composite High School. Shortly thereafter he moved to Calgary, AB. where he resided until 2011. During this time he worked at Cargill Ag Horizons and eventually transitioned to oilfield eventually working as a Mudman. The most memorable time of his oilfield career would have been working offshore in South Africa. He made many new friends and was able to travel and see the world. Cody was married twice, firstly to Dana Meston in 1991 and most recently to Anna Silverman in 2004. While married to Anna they had two beautiful children whom he adored. Katlin Marie Snyders in 2003 and Tysen John Snyders in 2004. To this day his children are his proudest accomplishment. Cody will be lovingly remembered for his fly fishing skills as well as his love of the outdoors. He also enjoyed camping and playing his guitar. His musical talents earned him a few gigs as lead singer, guitar player and bass player of several garage bands, which gave him great joy. Cody will always be known for his big goofy smile, ability to make friends anywhere, his sense of adventure and most recently his love of golf. Cody was predeceased by his grandparents John and Gerda Snyders; Jens and Selma Jensen and Uncle John Snyders. Cody is survived by his parents Julius and Marie Snyders of Brooks; sister Shelley MacNaughton and her husband Cam as well as their children Kaela and Kolby of Brooks; and most importantly his children Katlin Snyders and Tysen Snyders of Calgary as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Cassils Community Hall in Cassils, AB. Rev. John Theiss officiated. In memory of Cody, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of choice.
