SCHULTZ – Dennis Roy Schultz

    Schultz – Dennis Roy Schultz of Brooks, beloved husband of Isabel Schultz, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Dennis was born in Hanna, Alberta on May 18th, 1937 to Paul and Connie Schultz. He completed his grade 8 and life taught him the lessons he needed to know from there. Dennis was raised in Endiang, Alberta and then moved to Calgary for a number of years, before moving to Brooks in 1979 after a major heart attack. He married Isabel Quast on April 30th, 1960. Dennis worked for Finnie Hauling as a crane operator and worked for TransCanada Pipeline, as well as starting four successful businesses. He enjoyed horseback riding, curling and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Dennis was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and coached hockey. His friends and family will fondly remember his ability to talk to people and his famous one-liners. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Paul and Connie Schultz and brothers, Walter, Gordon and Ray Schultz. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Isabel; children, Wanda Murray, Darryl Schultz and his wife Lori and Jason Schultz; grandchildren, Jacquie (Terry), Katie (Graham), Devon (Tamara); six great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret, Joan (Grant), Judy (Albert) and many nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral services was held on Monday, November 26th at 2:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiated. A family graveside was held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Scapa, Alberta. In memory of Dennis, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta, 14925 – 111th Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta   T5M 2P6.
