CURRAN, Cyril Patrick
March 22, 1936 – September 25, 2017
Cyril Patrick Curran passed away suddenly in Drumheller on September 25, 2017 at the age of 81 years. Cyril is lovingly remembered by his children Michele (John) Ricard, Brian Curran, Trish (Pat) Deagle and their children Jonathan, Jordan, Kevin, and Brad; Angela (Ron) Feledichuk and their children Paul (Kelly and daughter Emma), Daryn, Michael, Sarah, and Mark; Annalisa (Tim) Sherman and their children Christopher, Tessa, Meghan, Claire, and Brenna; Jane (Brent) Kopec and their children Alyssa and Kira; and many brothers and sisters both here and in Ireland.
GABERT – Erdman Henry Gabert (E.H., Buck, Gabbie, Mr. Gabert) of Rosemary, beloved husband of the late Ella Gabert, passed away on September 24, 2017 at the age of 93 years, following 3 medical procedures at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary.
Erdman, the youngest of 6 children (4 brothers, 1 sister), was born to Elizabeth (Schneider) and Andreas Gabert January 22, 1924 at Bruderheim, Alberta.
NICKEL – Justine (Goetz) Nickel of the Newbrook Lodge in Brooks, Alberta passed away peacefully on October 1, 2017 at age of 91 years. She was born December 4, 1925 in Friedensdorf, South Ukraine to parents Nickolai and Justina (Harder) Goetz. Justine was the middle of three children with an older sister Margareta and younger brother Heinrich.
ANDRONYK – Jack Joseph Andronyk of Brooks, passed away in Brooks, on November 26th, 2003 at the age of 68 years. Born in Drumheller on January 12th, 1935 Jack received all his education there. He moved to Brooks in the mid 70’s and work for Alberta Gas Trunkline retiring in 1986. He loved his family, his church, friends and sports. Jack will be remembered for his sense of humour.
Andrews – Charles Richard Andrews passed away peacefully in the presence of family and his loving wife, Martha, in Medicine Hat on August 24th 2006 at the age of 85 years. Born on the Andrews homestead at Badger Lake Alberta on February 23rd, 1921. His parents had moved to Alberta from their home state of Iowa by way of North Dakota in 1910 to take up land. Charles and his brother Irwin started the irrigated farm in Bow City in 1937 that was to be Charles’ home for most of the next seventy years.
Andres – Joyce Gertrude Andres, beloved wife of Ed Andres of Bassano passed away in Calgary on December 24th, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Joyce was born December 15th, 1939 at Nordegg, Alberta and received her education there. She completed her post-secondary schooling at Edson and was employed with the RCMP in Red Deer. She moved to Calgary in 1970 and was employed with the University of Calgary until 1977 when the family moved to Bassano. Joyce was a secretary with Global Thermoelectric in Bassano from 1978-1995 and before retiring she worked with homecare.
ANDERSON-WALKER – Margaret Ann Anderson-Walker passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on October 16, 2015 at the age of 86 years, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kay (Al) Schmidt, Lyle (Phyllis) Anderson, Jean (John) MacGregor, Donna (Gerry) Stoddart, Wayne (Patti) Anderson, her stepson Kirby (Linda) Walker, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren plus numerous extended family.
ANDERSON – Herbert James Anderson, loving, committed husband and father, passed away December 27, 2016 in Brooks, AB surrounded by his heart-broken family. Herb was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, the 10th of 13 children. He is survived by his wife Lenore, daughters Barbara (Brad Rhodes), Nancy (Chad Neifer), Jill (Matt Hill), and son Travais (Shanna Sunley) and four grandchildren (Jinelle, Henrik, Ellerie, Geordie).
Albert W. Anderson
1918 ~ 2017
Mr. Albert Wilhelm Anderson, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Ruth Anderson, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, Alberta on Monday, May 1, 2017, at the age of 98 years. Albert Wilhelm Anderson was born the youngest of four children to Carl Anderson on the homestead in Jenner on September 9, 1918. He left school at Grade 6 to work, driving 12 head of horses on a breaking plow while working for various other ranchers as well. He saved his money, bought some land and started farming with his brother which worked well as they could share equipment.
ANDERSON, Dorothy Thelma
(Nee: Mooney) July 4,1910-April 17,2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Douglas(Gail),Gayl (Edward) and Randy(Marilyn), grandchildren Laura(Greg), David (Lila), Curtis(Bobbie Jo), Wayne (Nicole), Robyn, Nathan(Julie) and Nadine(Chris). Eight great-grandchildren, Chrystyna, Ashley, Gordon, Angelica, Emily, Harley, Erica and Savannah, Dorothy is also survived by her brothers Gerald (Wilma) Mooney and Lyle (Anne) Mooney.
