Morgan – Ilene Joyce Morgan of Brooks passed away at Brooks Health Centre on May 11, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Ilene was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1947 and shortly after the family relocated to Brandon where she was raised and received her education. She enjoyed nice cars and trucks and spent time socializing with friends and cruising the city streets. After graduation she moved north to Thompson for school and work. There she met Marlin and they were married in Winnipeg on August 20, 1966. During the spring of 1980 they moved to Brooks where she built her life, family and a long career with Art’s Pipeline, Hartland Pipeline Services and later Arcline Resources. Ilene enjoyed tending to her acreage, gardening and all types of animals, especially horses. She always had many 4 legged friends around her yard and had a soft spot for strays. Ilene had a big heart and will be remembered for being thoughtful and always putting others ahead of herself. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother-in-law Bill Blair. She is survived by her son Tyler and his wife Kelti of Strathmore; 2 sisters, Bev Champagne and her 2 sons Troy (Seleena) and their children Livia and Taylor and son Trevor (Shannon) and their children Brandon and Ashley and her sister Marilyn Blair and her 3 children, daughter Erin (Greg) and their children Jeremy (Amber), Bella and Alivia; son Joel (Jennifer) and their children Joshua, Kate and Isaiah and son Sean (Carrie) and their children Molly, Lucy and Luke. Memorial services for Ilene will be held at Thom’s Funeral Home and Reception Centre in Duchess on Wednesday, May 23 at 2 PM. Reverend John Theiss officiating.
